Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is a collaborative process between the client and the therapist involving individualized and specific therapeutic goals. The primary goal of individual therapy is to increase thought and behavior patterns that will help to increase one’s overall function and well being. In therapy, individuals can learn how to effectively manage stress, interpersonal difficulties and troubling situations by way of processing one’s past while learning coping skills that will help with emotional regulation and increased mood. This is done with a variety of therapeutic techniques used by the therapist.

Group Services
Aside from counseling services, we also host Support Groups and Wellness Workshops so you can work through issues with other people that understand. Please see our “what’s new/groups” page to find out what groups are currently being offered.
Telehealth
We offer telehealth sessions by way of our Therapynotes Portal which is the patient portal that you will have access to when you work with our practice. You will sign in with your own username and password where you will then be directly connected to your therapist at the time of your session with one easy click of a button. This platform is much safer than Zoom and is designed specifically for mental health services offering you all of the HIPAA compliant safety and security you need for your session. The portal is also used to share important patient information, to send and receive documents and to easily check to see when your next session is scheduled.

Play Therapy
In the textbook Play Therapy: The Art of the Relationship (3rd ed.), Landreth (2012) defined child-centered play therapy:
As a dynamic interpersonal relationship between a child (or person of any age) and a therapist trained in play therapy procedures who provides selected play materials and facilitates the development of a safe relationship for the child (or person of any age) to fully express and explore self (feelings, thoughts, experiences, and behaviors) through play, the child’s natural medium of communication, for optimal growth and development. Neurofeedback
EMDR
EMDR and Neurofeedback combined
As we continue to discover more and more about the brain, we know that research findings continue to support the efficacy of these two therapies. Combining Neurofeedback and EMDR therapy is proving to be a highly effective combination, particularly in the treatment of PTSD and chronic stress conditions.
